DBC has been one of the best BBQ options in town for years, found on West Douglas, about evenly between Seneca and the Delano Clock Tower roundabout, closest to Oak Street. The place has grown its look inside and out to be a prideful staple of Delano and the Wichita area. The food has always been delicious, and fairly priced when considering you can feed a pair with a two or three meat dinner. I regularly split a meal and go for the pulled pork with the wife favoring the chopped brisket. We both enjoy two of the best sides anywhere, the baked beans and fried okra. There’s plenty of other flavorful food here as well so it’s tough to go wrong. I will note that the counter service can be on the rude side repeatedly. However, this place has committed to a long run of excellent food in a restaurant full of vivid Wichita decor so I highly commend Delano Barbecue Company.
I have driven by this place so many times, and I wonder why it took so long for me to come in. The food was amazing, I felt like starving dog trying to get that meat between the bones on them ribs. I'm not ashamed either, this is the place to grab a Quick bite. The service was quick and the food hadn't been sitting around waiting on me. It was fresh and fire. Don't do what I did and keep on driving by. Try them out.
I came in and have severe social anxiety, they were super accommodating and made ordering a great experience, super nice people, and the food was great as well. They also use ubereats if you’re not trying to drive there, and it’s definitely worth the price you pay. Super great meal, and nice people working. Thank you for the good experience and great food.
Super good food! Workers were so nice and the guy who gave me my food even gave me an extra Mac and cheese! Super close to my work so didn't have to drive, and very lively and uplifting atmosphere. They give you way more meat than they do at hog wild, but the price is about the same more or less. Definitely recommend this place.
Delicious meat and BBQ, but the sides left a lot to be desired. I got the Carolina style sandwich with a side of beans and green beans. There were a few different flavors of bbq sauce, two of which I tried which were delicious (might be spicy to some people). I will say that I was rather disappointed in the sides, though. If they upgraded those to be unique vs just simple green beans, I'd give this place 5 stars.
I returned today to give them a second chance! Glad I did. GARLIC cole slaw - order it! Loved the crunch and flavor! My sandwich was a Big Bad Wolf - chopped brisket with hot link on top. Fun and filling. Had a great lunch!
